If we cannot fit you an SWS due to lack of space, we will NEVER fit an Externally Mounted Electric Roller Door to a residential property as we consider them to be unsightly. Externally mounted Electric Roller Doors do have their place in the market, but we believe this should only be in a commercial environment with very few exceptions. There is usually an alternative door available if we cannot fit an Electric Roller Door internally. Only in extenuating circumstances where no other door will fit would we fit an externally mounted Roller Door. We will also never fit a manual Roller Door as these are very difficult to use and again, there are better alternatives to to manual Roller Doors.

All Electric Roller Door Door installations are fitted with the SOMMER RDC (Roller Door Control Unit) and we will always fit a Hard Wired Optical Safety Edge as opposed to the Wireless Systems which other installers may favour. Barnsley Garage Doors do not install the wireless systems because over a period of a couple of years, batteries can go flat unexpectedly resulting in the door not closing and premature failure causing disruption to the customer. The Hard Wired Optical Safety Edge fitted by us will never lose connection with the main control unit - unless in case of a power failure making it ultra reliable for the customer and maintenance free.
